HARRISBURG, Pa. – Two swimming pools in Harrisburg are back up and running for the remainder of the summer.
Jackson Lick and Hall Manor pools reopened Tuesday, following repairs made to the facilities. Electrical and plumbing issues forced the city to perform repairs before opening the pools this year.
Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse was on hand to help reopen the pools. He announced there will be reduced prices for people to beat the heat. Entrance fees for children ages 3-17 and seniors over the age of 60 are just $2. Kids under the age of two can get in for free.
Mayor Papenfuse thanked city employees for their hard work to get the pools open. “We got it open today, we're really proud," he said. "We could not have done it without the hard work of our Public Works and Parks and Recreation team. It's really exciting to know the community wants this and we're really pleased that we're able to deliver.”
Both pools will be open from 12-6 Tuesdays through Sundays from now until September 6th.
