DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – An incident involving two on duty Lower Paxton Township Police Officers is under investigation by the District Attorney’s Office. The incident happed at the Township police station in the 400 block of Prince Street in suburban Harrisburg at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Monday, September 12th. No member of the public was involved or placed at risk and no investigations were compromised.
To ensure impartiality, the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office was asked to investigate the incident to determine if there are any criminal violations. Their investigation is ongoing. The Lower Paxton Township Police Department will also conduct an internal professional responsibility investigation to determine accountability for any possible violation of departmental rules or regulations.
Due to personnel regulations, Lower Paxton Township cannot release any other information at this time. The Director of Public Safety stressed that the matter is being taken seriously and all appropriate steps are being taken to fully resolve the situation.
