ANNVILLE (WPMT)-Starting Thursday—folks living near Fort Indiantown Gap may hear a little more noise than usual. Fort Indiantown Gap is expected to host a variety of live fire mortar and artillery training exercises between March 19 and March 26, according to a news release from the national guard training center.
According to Fort Indiantown Gap spokesperson Staff Sgt. Matt Jones, the majority of live-fire training is scheduled to take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania. It serves as headquarters to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Pennsylvania National Guard.
