YORK COUNTY, PA — A York County deputy sheriff’s employment was terminated Wednesday morning and is currently being investigated by the York County District Attorney’s Office.
Troy Senft has been with the sheriff’s office for more than 15 years, officials said.
Details about why Senft is being investigated were not immediately available.
Senft is currently represented by attorney Korey Leslie, who released this statement on Wednesday;
“Troy Senft has served his Country with great honor through decades of service in the United States military and service to the County of York. Troy has cooperated fully with the District Attorney’s investigation and will continue to do so. The ultimate decision to file criminal charges will be made by the District Attorney of York County. To comment further on an ongoing investigation would be inappropriate at this time.”
When asked for a comment into the case, spokesman for the district attorney’s office Kyle King, said, “The Office of the District Attorney per policy does not confirm or deny whether or not there is an ongoing investigation until such time charges are or are not filed.”
