CODORUS TWP., York County, Pa. — A York County man is in prison, accused of sharing child pornography on the internet. State Police and Homeland Security Harrisburg/York began investigating Charles Emory Wheat IV in March when they say they determined he was sharing pornographic images of children on the internet.
Investigators tracked Wheat’s IP address from the website Chatstep.com. There, police say Wheat, under the name “thatperv,” uploaded a graphic image of a prepubescent girl engaged in a sex act. Police exercised a search warrant at his residence, located at 3484 Sticks Rd in Codorus Twp. on July 27th. State Police say they found multiple images of prepubescent children performing sex acts on of the devices, a thumb drive. According to court documents, Wheat admitted to downloading the images.
Wheat is in York County Prison on $7,500 bail, charged with sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communication facility.
