HELLAM TWP., Pa. -- A woman in Hellam Township, York County is looking for the person who she said murdered her dog.
Crystal Kreider said someone broke into her house on Friendship Avenue and killed her dog, Maizy.
Maizy is an 11-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. She's had Maizy for two years. Kreider said her son called her while she was at work on Tuesday and told her he found Maizy lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
Kreider came home and called the vet, but Maizy didn't make it. Officials said the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Kreider said nothing was stolen from her home.
"I just want people to know that I will not stop until I find who did this to my dog because she deserves that," she said.
There is a $2,000 reward for anyone who knows what happened.
