ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — The coroner responded to an overnight motorcycle crash in Adams County, 911 Dispatch confirmed this morning.
According to Dispatch, the crash occurred just before 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Frederick Pike and involved only one vehicle.
Police say officers saw the motorcyclist speeding through Littlestown Borough before attempting to round a curve too quickly. The 41-year-old victim allegedly lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, striking a mailbox and telephone pole.
He succumbed to his injuries. Police have not yet publicly identified the deceased.
The Littlestown Police Department and the Alpha Fire Company responded to the scene. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
