Man dies after house fire in Manheim Township

An adult man was found dead in the home, and was likely a victim to the fire, officials said.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A man has died after a house fire.

According to emergency dispatch, firefighters responded to a house fire around 11:00 p.m. on January 3 at the intersection of Lineboro Road and Wolfgang School Road in Manheim Township.

The York County Coroner responded to the home around 1:30 a.m. on January 4 after a fatality was reported.

Officials said a 67-year-old, Roman Lucabaugh Jr. was found dead in the home and was an apparent victim to the flames. He was the sole resident of the home, authorities say.

The York County Coroner determined Lucabaugh's cause of death to be smoke inhalation and thermal burns. 

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall responded to the scene.  The cause of the fire remains undetermined.  The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
