CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau announced it is launching its 2024-2025 Cumberland Valley Beer Trail with 30 locations across Cumberland County and Harrisburg on Thursday -- just in time to celebrate National Beer Day on Sunday.

Participants can sign-up for a free Cumberland Valley Beer Trail Passport beginning today. The trail officially launches on Thursday, April 4, when participants can begin checking into locations via their mobile device.

Each check-in earns points, which are redeemable for prizes.

This year’s Cumberland Valley Beer Trail celebrates rock star Bret Michaels, a Cumberland Valley native and lead singer of the band Poison. The Trail will be a ode to 80's Hair Band rock, with new prizes including a portable speaker, a bandana and an 80's hair band t-shirt, along with a travel ring and patch.

Participants can even earn points by finding the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail 80’s rock playlist on Spotify.

New locations in 2024 include Appalachian Brewing Company’s newest spot in Carlisle, Maxie’s Brew House in Shippensburg, and Boneshire Brew Works in Harrisburg.

The Cumberland Valley Beer Trail has run nearly year-round since 2017.

In 2023, there were nearly 7,500 check-ins to locations across the trail.

The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau is the destination marketing arm of the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation.
