CARLISLE, Pa. — State Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a former Cumberland County school bus driver accused of having inappropriate sexual conversations with a 15-year-old female student at Boiling Springs High School.

Brennan Rashad Meeks, 28, of Carlisle, also shared a nude image of himself with the student during an in-person meeting, according to State Police.

Meeks has been employed with Rohrer Bus since March, State Police said.

South Middleton School District officials said in a statement that Meeks has been relieved of his duties.

Police began investigating on Tuesday, when they received a report of the alleged conversations between Meeks and the student. The investigation found that Meeks had befriended multiple underage girls and allegedly purchased nicotine vapes for some of them, according to police.

The investigation also found a series of text messages between Meeks and one 15-year-old girl that were "overtly sexual in nature," police claim. Meeks allegedly was trying to entice the girl to engage in sexual acts with him, according to police.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Meeks, charging him with felony counts of corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent exposure.

He was taken into custody by in Baltimore County, Maryland, where he is incarcerated while awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.

Because Meeks' job allowed him access to other minors, Trooper Megan Frazer, Public Information Officer for State Police Troop H, says investigators are asking any other potential victims to contact PSP Carlisle.

"(Anyone) with information regarding this investigation or other allegations and concerns about Meeks should contact Trooper Jacob Fackler...at (717) 249-2121," Frazer said.

South Middleton School District administration issued a statement regarding the incident Thursday afternoon, a portion of which appears below:

"On October 24 we were alerted to allegations that Brennan Meeks had inappropriate electronic communication with two South Middleton School District students. District administration took immediate action, including reporting to Child Line, cooperating with the Pennsylvania State Police investigation, and conducting our own internal inquiry. Brennan Meeks was immediately escorted off school property, relieved of his duties, and issued a Notice of No Trespass & Harassment."

Meeks' former employer, Rohrer Bus, confirmed that he had been fired and issued the following statement:

"As close partners with our school district partners, we take any allegation of this nature very seriously. We also take great pride in our adherence to and compliance with all laws and regulations. Mr. Meeks was hired in March of 2023, completed all Pennsylvania-required background clearances, and had no record of such behavior during his time of employment.

"As responsible and caring transportation professionals, our thoughts are with the affected students and their families at this time, as well as keeping the many other students we are entrusted to transport on a daily basis safe and in school."
