MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Sunday in Upper Allen Township, police said Monday.

The crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. on the 400 block of West Lisburn Road, according to Upper Allen Township Police. Responding officers found a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan.

The preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling east on West Lisburn Road when it slowed down to enter a traffic circle ahead. The sedan, which was traveling west, had also slowed to yield to another vehicle, but turned into the lane occupied by the motorcycle and struck it.

The male operator of the motorcycle, whose identity was not released by authorities, required transport to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital by the Penn State Life Lion helicopter for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
