CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A Cumberland County man has been charged after he reportedly impersonated a U.S. marshal.

The United States Attorney's Office of the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that William Graves Jr., 50, of New Cumberland, was charged with false personification of an officer or employee of the United States.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Graves allegedly impersonated a deputy U.S. Marshal multiple times in 2022 and 2023. The maximum penalty under federal law for this offense is three years in prison, followed by a term of supervised release and a fine.
