Cumberland County man charged in road rage incident

CAMP HILL, Pa. — A Mechanicsburg man has been charged for his alleged involvement in a road rage incident.

According to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, on June 23 at 7:20 a.m., officers met with a witness who captured the incident on their personal car camera. 

In the video provided by the witness, a pickup truck was seen attempting to run a bicyclist off of the roadway. The incident reportedly began on East Winding Hill Road near Orchard Boulevard and continued to the intersection of Gettysburg Pike and Cumberland Parkway. 

During the incident, the driver of the pickup truck allegedly hit the bicyclist. 

Upper Allen Police were able to determine that Donald Alleman, 57, from Mechanicsburg was the driver of the truck. On Friday, June 28, Alleman turned himself in to the police. 

He has been charged with criminal attempt- aggravated assault by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, harassment, reckless driving and multiple traffic violations.
