CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A Cumberland County road was temporarily closed for a fatal crash investigation.

According to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, SR114/South Market Street was closed between Gettysburg Pike and the intersection of Bumblebee Hollow Road/Kim Acres Dr. The crash reportedly happened just after 12:30 p.m. and involved an SUV and a motorcycle on Route 114, a PennDOT spokesperson said.

The public was asked to avoid the area as Pennsylvania State Police conducted a reconstruction investigation. The initial investigation determined that an SUV attempting to enter the on-ramp to U.S. Route 15 North turned in front of an oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcycle then collided with the SUV and the rider sustained fatal injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Upper Allen Township Police Department at 717-795-2445. Anonymous tips can be submitted by texting 717-850-UAPD (8273) or online here
