State Police troopers rescue injured red-tailed hawk in Carlisle

The bird was struck by a vehicle and was stuck in the grill, according to State Police in Carlisle. Troopers Williams and Rahn got the bird to an animal rescue.

CARLISLE, Pa. — A pair of Pennsylvania State Police troopers helped save an injured red-tailed hawk in Cumberland County this week.

According to a Facebook post by PSP Carlisle, the bird was struck by a vehicle and became stuck in its grill. 

Troopers Williams and Rahn teamed up to free the bird and transported it to Wildlife in Need PA, where it was treated for its injuries.
