CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — An elderly driver has been cited after reportedly causing a multi-vehicle crash in Camp Hill.

According to the Camp Hill Police Department, on Tuesday, Oct. 15 around 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to a five-vehicle crash along the 2100 block of Market Street.

At the scene, officers gathered that the striking vehicle crashed into a stopped car, which caused that vehicle to be pushed into the back of the car in front of them, causing a third vehicle to be pushed into another car. The driver of the striking vehicle then backed up and struck the car behind them.

This resulted in two vehicles being towed from the scene.

The 84-year-old driver was cited for careless driving and following too closely.

Three of the involved drivers were transported to the hospital for evaluation by EMS.
