Cumberland County Bureau of Elections Office offers extended hours for mail-in ballot drop-offs

The office will have extended hours on Oct. 24, Oct. 26, Oct. 30 and Nov. 2, officials said.

CARLISLE, Pa. — The Cumberland County Bureau of Elections announced additional hours for residents to hand-deliver their voted mail-in or absentee ballot for the Tuesday, Nov. 5 General Election.

Voters can hand-deliver their voted ballot during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or utilize the following additional hours:

  • Thursday, Oct. 24, 4:30 - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 30, 4:30 - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Voted ballots can be hand-delivered to the Bureau of Elections, 1601 Ritner Highway, Suite 201, Carlisle. No other voter services will be available during these additional hours.

Last day to register to vote before the election: Monday, Oct. 21, 2024. Postmarks will not be accepted.

Last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024. Postmarks will not be accepted.

Last day to receive voted mail-in or an absentee ballot: Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. The county Bureau of Elections Office will be open on election day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. for voters to hand-deliver their voted ballot. Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. Postmarks will not be accepted.

The Cumberland County Bureau of Elections is charged with running a fair, safe, accurate and secure election for its voters and residents. The office maintains voter registrations, conducts elections, prepares official ballots, and trains polling staff. The county is committed to providing clear and transparent voter services to Cumberland County residents.
