CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 2 just before 11 a.m.
According to troopers, a vehicle described as a gray Dodge pickup truck was traveling northbound on I-81 in East Pennboro Township, Cumberland County in the far left lane.
The Dodge was traveling behind another vehicle described as a BMW when the Dodge decided to pass the BMW by using the left shoulder.
When the Dodge reentered the lane, the tail bed on the passenger side allegedly sideswiped the BMW, causing it to tip onto the passenger side.
The driver of the BMW was dismounted from their vehicle, sliding into the center lane along with the car; they did not sustain any serious injuries.
Officials then discovered that the truck's driver fled the scene.
Trooper Alex Kydd at the PSP Harrisburg Station is asking for witnesses of the crash, dashboard camera footage or any relevant information to contact the station at 717-671-7500.
