Mechanicsburg man charged following police chase in Cumberland County, speeds exceeding 130 mph

Ryan Heisey, 22 of Mechanicsburg, was arrested shortly after the pursuit ended, according to police.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A Mechanicsburg man is facing charges following a high-speed chase in Cumberland County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on March 25 at 12:02 a.m., officers became involved in a chase on PA 581 West at mile marker 4 in Hampden Township, Cumberland County. 

Troopers started pursuing a silver Infinity G37 that reportedly reached speeds over 130 miles per hour. 

According to PSP, troopers were able to obtain the car's registration plate. Ryan Tyler Heisey, 22, was arrested shortly after the pursuit ended, according to police. 

He was transported to the Cumberland County Booking Center for his follow-up arraignment. He's been charged with reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude officers, resisting arrest or other law enforcement and additional traffic violations.
