Student reportedly brought airsoft weapon to Camp Hill Middle School, police investigating

A search of the student uncovered an unloaded airsoft weapon, according to police.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Police responded to Camp Hill Middle School when a staff member was notified of a student brandishing an airsoft weapon.

According to the Camp Hill Police Department, at 7:35 a.m., the staff member was made aware of the student holding the weapon outside of the middle school entrance. 

After receiving the information, the staff member reportedly immediately intervened. A search of the student uncovered an unloaded airsoft weapon, according to police.

The Camp Hill Police Department was notified of the incident and has launched an investigation in cooperation with the school district. 

All students, faculty and staff were safe in and around the building, police said.
