Police officer shoots man during disturbance call investigation

CARLISLE, Pa. — Update: On Saturday, just before 2 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of C Street for a disturbance call.

According to police, a fight broke out while officers were investigating the suspect, 33-year-old Nathaniel Law Liberator.

During the struggle, police said an officer shot Liberator who was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police continue to investigate the incident.

Previous: Police are at the scene of a shooting near the intersection of Pitt and H Streets.

County dispatch confirmed they received a call about a shooting on Saturday afternoon but were unable to provide any additional information.

An officer with Carlisle Police said they couldn't share any information as it is an active incident.

Troop H PIO, Megan Frazer, said there is no threat to the public and more information will be released later.
