LOWER ALLEN, Pa. — A Cumberland County man will serve up to three years in prison for threatening President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in 2022, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam said Friday.
Mohamed Farah, 34, was sentenced to three years imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release at a hearing Thursday, Karam said.
Farah previously admitted that he threatened to assassinate President Biden, and would assassinate President Trump if he ran for re-election, according to prosecutors.
Farah, a citizen of Somalia, may face deportation after serving his prison sentence, Karam said.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lower Allen Township Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli prosecuted the case.
