CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Two Cumberland County residents are displaced following a fire Sunday afternoon.
According to Cumberland County emergency dispatch, the incident occurred on the first block of Cleversburg Road in Southampton Township at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Bryan Coy, Deputy Fire Chief with Vigilant Hose Company #1, said that the fire started on the first floor, and that no one was home at the time.
No one was injured, but the house was home to three dogs, three cats, three birds and three aquariums. Authorities say that only one dog and one cat were confirmed to have escaped the fire. The condition of the other animals is unknown.
Red Cross is assisting those displaced after the fire, and State Police is investigating the cause.
