Cut-your-own Christmas tree farms in Pennsylvania for this holiday season

Those who want to cut their own Christmas trees this year can use the list below to see which farm is best for them.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Looking for the perfect Christmas tree for this holiday season? 

Below is a list of Christmas tree farms in the central Pennsylvania region that offer cut-your-own trees for families to take part in this winter.

Cumberland County

Gruver Tree Farm

255 Stetler Rd, New Cumberland

Mon-Fri: 1 p.m.-6 p.m.

Sat-Sun: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cut-your-own tree field closes at 4:45 p.m.

Gruver Tree Farm, family-owned and operated, opens its doors on Nov. 29 for guests to explore the 26-acre farm. Five types of trees up to 12 feet are available for cut-your-own and the farm provides saws, tree carts, tree drilling, shaking and wrapping. The farm also offers wreaths and hooks, tree stands and tree preservatives and bags.


Lancaster County

Miller's Christmas Tree Farm

470 Trail Rd N, Elizabethtown

Nov. 30-Dec. 25.: 

Mon-Fri: 1 p.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cut-your-own tree fields close at 4 p.m.

This Lancaster County tree farm is a 16-acre tree farm that provides cut-your-own services with four different tree options. Wreaths, garlands and bundles can be made in a variety of sizes as requested along with homemade gifts and pin stands. Food trucks are also on-site during the season.

Country Farm Barn Market

211 S Donerville Rd, Lancaster

Mon-Sat: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday: Closed

Starting Nov. 29, this tree farm will have cut-your-own trees available as well as precut trees. Cut-your-own trees can be purchased at any time the market is open, and train rides to the field are available on the weekends of Christmas. The last day to purchase a tree is on Dec. 22. The farm also offers "Christmas in Barnyard" which includes train rides, an elf scavenger hunt, fire pits, Christmas crafts, a giant slide and more. 

Elizabeth Farms

262 Hopeland Rd, Lititz

Wed-Thurs: 1 p.m.-5 p.m. (No horses)

Friday: 1 p.m.-7 p.m. (Black Friday is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m.)

Saturday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Sunday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m. (No horses)

Opening on Nov. 29, Elizabeth Farms offers a wide variety of trees up to 10 feet. The farm also has animals, horse rides, hot chocolate, food, bar drinks, Santa, a gift shop, Millie Coffee Camper and more. 


Lebanon County

Blue Ridge Christmas Tree Farm

1063 School House Rd, Annville

Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1-2, Dec. 6-8, Dec. 13-15

9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This tree farm offers nine different types of cut-your-own Christmas trees. Upon arrival, the farm has free-of-charge supplies like saws, a map of the farm and a tree cart. All cut-your-own trees are $12 per foot. The farm only takes cash and check payments, and an ATM is on-site. They also have a gift shop.

Hess Tree Farm

85 Mowery Rd, Jonestown

Mon-Fri: 2 p.m.-7 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday:12 p.m.-5 p.m.

Cut-your-own Christmas trees will be available at the Hess Tree Farm on Nov. 23. Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir and balled and burlap trees are up for grabs in the tree field along with precut trees as well. The farm also offers wreath decorating workshops that require participants to reserve a spot.

Stracks Tree Farm

325 Ruth Drive, Myerstown

Open every day 9 a.m.-5 p.m. except Thanksgiving

Stracks Tree Farm is a family-owned Christmas tree farm. The farm offers seven different types of trees available since 1986 to cut your own or purchase precut. The farm also has a hot cider bar and homemade wreaths and crafts available for purchase.

Wagner Tree Farm

3895 Hill Church Rd, Lebanon

Hours after Black Friday:

Mon-Fri: 1 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Opening on Nov. 23, Wagner Tree Farm lets families cut down their own trees this holiday season. The farm also can cut down trees for guests if they prefer and has a selection of precut trees inside its barn. A pricing chart on their website shows prices ahead of guests visit to the farm.


York County

Brown's Tree Farm

1515 Parkview Rd, York

Field trees hours:

Mon-Fri: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sat-Sun: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Pre-cut tree hours:

Mon-Fri: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Sat-Sun: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Brown's Tree Farm has been providing York residents with Christmas trees since 1988, and continue this holiday season with its opening on Nov. 23. The farm offers cut-your-own or fresh-cut trees along with freshly made wreaths, sashes and more. Trees are priced individually and three types of trees are available daily; Frasier Fir, Canaan Fir and Douglas Fir.

McCurdy's Farm

127 Chestnut Grove Rd, Dillsburg

Mon-Sat: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sun: Closed

This tree farm has about 100 acres of eight different kinds of Christmas trees that families can cut themselves or purchase fresh-cut and live plant able trees starting Nov. 29. Trees range anywhere from four to 12 feet and tractor-pulled wagon rides are offered to get to the trees. Farm animals, weekend entertainment and Kennedy's Kitchen food trailer are also offered on the farm.
