DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Six people were displaced on Saturday night after a fire involving four apartments in Derry Township.
Multiple fire companies were informed of a structure fire in the 1800 block of Gramercy Place at 10 p.m. on March 30.
At the scene, firefighters saw smoke billowing from the building.
David Sassaman of the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department says four apartments were involved; two were total losses and the others had smoke and water damage.
Fire officials say there were no injuries, but damages are estimated to be approximately $700,000.
Firefighters say smoke detectors alerted a resident on the first floor, who then called 911.
Officials also credit firewalls with helping to contain the fire to the initial building.
Fire officials continue investigating.
