HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Harrisburg bakery was briefly forced to close its doors on Sunday when its building was struck by a vehicle, the business owners and local police said.

Alvaro Bread and Pastry Shoppe, located on the 200 block of Peffer Street in the city, was closed Sunday afternoon in the aftermath of the alleged incident, according to the business's Facebook page.

The vehicle that struck the building was being operated by two juveniles, who abandoned the car while it was still in motion, the bakery's owners said. The vehicle continued moving until it struck the front door of the business, damaging the doorway.

One of the juveniles was detained after a short foot pursuit, according to Harrisburg Police, but no arrests have been made as of Monday.

Alvaro Bread and Pastry was expected to be back open during regular business hours on Monday, according to its Facebook post.
