HARRISBURG, Pa. — Broad Street Market on Sunday announced the five finalists for its "Name Our Tent" contest.
The contest was announced last this month, in conjunction with the "soft launch" of a temporary tent erected next to the market's Stone Building, which was heavily damaged by fire in the summer of 2023.
The public had from May 23 to June 22 to submit nominations to name the structure. The five finalists were selected by a Naming Committee, which announced the results on Facebook Sunday.
Those finalists are:
- Tenty McTentface
- Tent to Table
- Little Broad Street Market
- The Pavilion
- The Farmer's Phoenix
The public has until Saturday, July 6 to vote for their favorite name, Broad Street Market's Facebook post said.
"The tent will be named based on the highest amount of cash donations, so not only do you get to suggest a name, but you also support the growth and sustainability of our beloved market," the post said. "The tent will be named based on the with the highest amount of cash donation. Your generosity helps us continue to provide fresh, local produce and unique goods to our community. Donate today and let’s create something special together!"
To make a cash donation and vote for your favorite name, you can visit the merchandise stand at Broad Street Market.
The winning name will be revealed on July 10, Broad Street Market said.
