HARRISBURG, Pa. — A portion of Harrisburg is under a boil-water advisory due to an emergency water main repair, Capital Region Water said Monday.

The advisory affects 19 properties in the area of the 400 block of South 15th Street and the 1500 block of Berryhill Street, Capital Region Water said.

Water service has been temporarily disrupted in the area, and residents are advised to boil all water before using it once service is restored, Capital Region Water said.

Officials say crews have repaired the leak and are now testing water samples to ensure it is safe. The boil water advisory will be lifted when the Water Quality Administrator determines it is safe. Authorities will notify residents via door-to-door and online notices.
