STEELTON, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after a York County man died following an altercation at a Dauphin County club over the weekend.
The Dauphin County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Otilio Lugo-Rivera, 35, of Dillsburg. While authorities say Lugo-Rivera was involved in a large altercation that took place early Sunday morning, it is unclear whether he died as a result of injuries sustained in the fight.
District Attorney Fran Chardo said he is waiting to see whether an autopsy on Lugo-Rivera, scheduled for Tuesday, will reveal the cause and manner of his death before deciding on what charges, if any, will be filed.
According to Corey L. Dickerson, Chief County Detective with the District Attorney's Office, the altercation happened inside the club, known as The Hideout, which is located at 159 N. Front Street in Steelton.
The altercation, which involved a large group of people, occurred as the club was closing down, Dickerson said.
Because of the large group of witnesses that need to be interviewed, the investigation could take some time, according to Dickerson.
The Hideout is an after-hours club that operates between 2 and 5 a.m., Dickerson said.
