Dauphin County police investigating stolen car from Paxtang Elementary School staff member

While investigating the theft, officers learned that the car had been located by Harrisburg City Police around 11:40 a.m. in the jurisdiction, abandoned on the road.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Dauphin County police are investigating a stolen vehicle from the area of Paxtang Elementary School. 

According to the Swatara Township Police Department, at 1:34 p.m., officers took a report that a school staff member's vehicle had been stolen. 

While investigating the theft, officers learned that the car had been located by Harrisburg City Police around 11:40 a.m. in the jurisdiction, abandoned on the road. 

The vehicle was towed from the location before the owner realized and reported that it had been stolen. 

Swatara Police detectives are currently working to identify a suspect and bring forth the appropriate charges.
