Dauphin County police investigating crash involving pedestrian

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Dauphin County police are investigating a crash that "seriously" injured a pedestrian.

According to the Lower Paxton Township Police Department, on April 5 at 9:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Locust Lane and South Arlington Avenue for an injury-related crash. 

Police performed an on-scene investigation, which closed the intersection down until midnight. 

A preliminary crash investigation revealed that a male pedestrian was running across the roadway when he was struck by a silver Chevrolet Equinox passing through the intersection. 

The driver of the Equinox reportedly stayed at the scene and participated with investigators. 

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition at this time.
