After several delays, the Colonial Park Mall in Dauphin County has sold.
According to Dauphin County property records, 4600 Jonestown Road LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, bought the mall in September for $8.8 million.
The company lists Zi Qian Zhang as the owner of the LLC. According to his website, Zhang has served as the owner and leader of JZ Real Estate in Massachusetts since 2005. Zhang's website states that he has "extensive experience" in running commercial shopping centers.
Boscov's was not included in the sale. Other retail spaces not included were the former Sears store, the former Sears Auto location, the former Enterprise location, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Mountz Jewelers, which also have different owners.
The 344,421-square-foot property, which is located in Lower Paxton Township, was built in 1960 and currently houses retailers such as Kay Jewelers, Claire's, and T-Mobile, among others.
The mall has been closed for five days following severe weather. According to a recent Facebook post from the Colonial Park Mall, the building will reopen "within the next few days."
