Child killed in Dauphin County crash

The Harrisburg Police Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A child was killed after a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 22 westbound.

According to a PennDOT spokesperson, U.S. 22 west was closed at the entrance ramp for Interstate 81 north. The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. 

The Harrisburg Bureau of Police said that the child died as a result of their injuries after being transferred to a local hospital. 

The incident has since cleared, according to PennDOT.

It's unclear at this time if there were any additional injuries. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Harrisburg Police Traffic Safety Unit.
