DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Throughout October, AAA Central Penn is collecting donations in partnership with Bethany Services to fill duffel bags for local kids in foster care.
The Duffles for Comfort project looks to fill bags with essential items, including clothes, school supplies and other personal care items.
Organizers say there are around 15,000 kids in the Commonwealth in the foster system, waiting for families.
"It's that level of dignity, [ensuring] kids not have that plastic bag that they're traipsing around from foster care to foster family," said Dawn Tluczek with Bethany Services.
People can drop off donations at AAA Central Penn on Paxton Church Road in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.
