HARRISBURG, Pa. — A former faculty member and girls' wrestling coach at Central Dauphin East High School has been accused of having inappropriate contact with three students, according to Lower Paxton Township Police.
Emily Rajis, 27, of Harrisburg, has been charged with three felony counts of institutional sexual assault, three felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor, and one misdemeanor count of unlawful contact with a minor, according to court records.
Police began investigating Rajis after receiving a report of inappropriate contact between a faculty member and a student at CD East on March 29. The investigation found three victims, all students at the high school, police said.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Rajis admitted to having sexual intercourse with two students between December of 2023 through April of 2024. She also identified a third student who she allegedly had a sexual relationship with outside of school, but the student denied the contact.
Rajis was charged and arraigned on Friday before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Grella, who set bail at $50,000, according to court records. Her preliminary hearing is set for May 6.
Rajis, who was placed on administrative leave when the allegations first arose, has since resigned her faculty position as a paraprofessional at the high school, police said.
Rajis was also listed as the head coach of the girls' wrestling team on the team's website.
