HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Maryland man was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in U.S. Middle District Court for child exploitation- and child pornography-related charges, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced.
Joshua Hockenberry, 32, is charged with attempted production of child pornography, interstate travel to engage in illicit sexual contact, transportation of a minor, obstruction of justice, and retaliation against a witness, Karam said in a press release.
The indictment alleges that between March and July of this year, Hockenberry carried on a sexual relationship with a minor victim, which involved transporting the minor to engage in illicit sexual contact. He also allegedly tried to get the minor to produce child pornography, persuaded the minor to delete evidence, and threatened the minor after she provided incriminating evidence against him to authorities.
The case was investigated by the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Scalera is acting as prosecutor in the matter.
