Harrisburg man arrested after hitting four houses, four cars in two separate February crashes

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A Harrisburg man has been arrested and charged after reportedly crashing two separate cars into four houses and four cars. 

According to the Penbrook Borough Police Department, officers were dispatched on Feb. 1 to a multi-vehicle crash along the 2900 block of Walnut Street. A U-Haul van reportedly struck three cars and a house. 

The driver, Tyrell Weaver, 41, was believed to be under the influence of PCP, methamphetamine and marijuana. 

Additionally, officers learned Weaver had punched a citizen who was attempting to check on his well-being. 

As officers approached the U-Haul, Weaver allegedly attempted to place the van into gear; he was removed and detained. 

Just one week later, on Feb. 8, officers took a report of a crash along the 2400 block of Walnut Street. At the scene, it was determined the car had crashed into another car and three houses. 

Weaver was identified as the driver and was ejected from the car when it rolled over. It was believed that Weaver was also under the influence of controlled substances during this crash. No civilians were injured. 

On Feb. 16, Weaver was released from the hospital and taken into custody. 

Weaver has been charged with several counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, criminal mischief, DUI, recklessly endangering another person and multiple traffic offenses.
