HARRISBURG, Pa. — A suspect crashed into the porch of a Harrisburg City home in August.
According to authorities, the crash occurred on Aug. 19, after a suspect was attempting to evade police after stealing the vehicle. The suspect tried to avoid police on the sidewalk, driving the wrong way on the 400 block of Peffer Street, State Police confirmed.
The suspect then reportedly lost control of the stolen vehicle after trying to avoid hitting two children playing on the sidewalk before crashing into the porch of a Peffer Street home.
Following the crash, the suspect continued attempting to flee from police in the stolen vehicle. When eventually located by authorities, the vehicle was empty.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
