Harrisburg man arrested for home invasion robbery

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Harrisburg man has been arrested in connection to a Jan 31 assault and home invasion.

According to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at 2 p.m., officers were sent to a home along the 1000 block of Lancaster Boulevard for a home invasion where the victim was assaulted and threatened with a firearm. 

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. 

An investigation was launched and police identified Terrel Simmons, 24, as one of the suspects. 

He was arrested on March 1 and is currently incarcerated. Simmons has been charged with robbery- inflicting bodily injury, robbery- threatening immediate serious bodily injury, robbery- taking property with force, conspiracy- robbery, conspiracy- burglary with a person present and causing bodily injury, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy- theft by unlawful taking, unlawful restraint, conspiracy- unlawful restraint, simple assault, conspiracy- simple assault and cruelty to animals.
