Owner of Harrisburg's Midtown Scholar Bookstore featured on 'Pawn Stars'

The co-owner presented a first-edition book written in 1787 by US President John Adams, which Rick enthusiastically purchased.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A local bookstore in central Pennsylvania is getting some big recognition! 

Eric Papenfuse, the co-owner of Harrisburg's Midtown Scholar Bookstore, was featured in a recent episode of "Pawn Stars Do America" on the History Channel, which aired on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Papenfuse presented a first-edition book written in 1787 by US President John Adams, which Rick enthusiastically purchased. 

The episode, which was filmed in Providence Rhode Island, also featured a muscle car collection and harpoon gun.

The Midtown Scholar Bookstore is active in purchasing and selling rare and antiquarian books. The store hosts public book-buying hours each Thursday from 2-6 p.m.
