HERSHEY, Pa. — ZooAmerica at Hersheypark will celebrate Earth Day weekend with its Party for the Planet celebration on Saturday, April 20.
The event, which will last from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, will feature a variety of activities for guests of all ages to celebrate the earth's biodiversity and to learn more about what people can do to take care of the planet.
Zoo officials say the variety of activities will range from the educational to the interactive.
"Our guests can expect tons of booths and educational activities," said zoo curator Katherine Hess. "We have some activities for guests to partake in such as a sustainable scavenger hunt, rock painting and a nature play area. We also have some animal enrichment activities."
Those activities will involve the zoo's wide variety of animals, including Gray Wolves, which will be finding treats inside paper mache globes, as well as mountain lions, which includes the park's new mountain lion Fern.
Guests can purchase tickets online or at the zoo, or they can enter the zoo straight from Hersheypark with their park ticket.
