Police are investigating hit-and-run crash involving pedestrian in Lower Paxton Township

The pedestrian was struck by a white SUV while crossing S. Franklin Street on Dec. 20, police claim.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Harrisburg last month.

The incident occurred Dec. 20, 2023, on the first block of South Franklin Street in Lower Paxton Township, according to police.

The pedestrian was crossing the street just south of Jonestown Road when they were struck by a white SUV, likely a Ford Explorer, Lower Paxton Township Police said.

The vehicle did not stop to check on the victim's condition and instead continued driving, police claim. It was last seen heading west on Lexington Street.
