HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Harrisburg man has been indicted on escape charges by a federal grand jury after he left the residential reentry center he was confined in earlier this month.

Kyle Eugene Gordon, 36, escaped the Capital Pavilion Residential Reentry Center on the 2000 block of N. 4th St. in the city on Oct. 7, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam said in a press release.

He was apprehended on Oct. 15 by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Karam said.

According to Karam, a federal grand jury indicted him for the new charge on Wednesday.

If convicted, the maximum penalty Gordon faces is five years in prison, followed by a period of supervised release and a fine.
