DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — The Office of Representative Joe Kerwin (R) of Dauphin County announced a new grant aimed at supporting survivors of human trafficking.

The announcement of the $148,255 grant was made on Monday and will help fund Greenlight Operation, a nonprofit organization based out of Camp Hill. The organization provides educational and restoration services to assist women who have been victims of sex trafficking.

Greenlight Operation will use the money to purchase vehicles used to transport survivors to appointments such as counseling and therapy.

“Adding vehicle transportation to our services will help greatly with appointments, group activities, outreach to additional survivors and even driving lessons,” Jordan Pine, president and CEO of Greenlight Operation, said in a press release. “We’re thankful for Rep. Joe Kerwin’s office’s advocacy in helping to secure this grant that well positions us for the future.”
