HARRISBURG, Pa. — Authorities are investigating the source of a power outage that temporarily shut down the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex Thursday morning.

The outage lasted from about 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., according to the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. Capitol Police and other emergency crews responded to help restore power.

Public access to the Capitol was temporarily restricted, but authorized personnel who work in the building were allowed to return to their offices once power was restored, the department said.
