STEELTON, Pa. — One of the Harrisburg area's most-wanted fugitives was captured last week by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, authorities announced Wednesday.
Ricky Jermaine Anderson, 44, who was wanted for firearms violations, was added to the Top Five Most Wanted Fugitives List by Pennsylvania State Police last year and remained on it until his capture this month, according to U.S. Marshal William Pugh.
On Feb. 16, members of the Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from Steelton Borough Police, located and captured Anderson without incident on the 100 block of Frank S. Brown Boulevard in Steelton, Pugh said.
Following his arrest, Anderson was taken to the Dauphin County Booking Center pending arraignment.
In the Middle District of Pennsylvania, The USMS Harrisburg Fugitive Task Force consists of state, county, and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections; the Derry Township Police Department; the Lower Paxton Township Police Department; the Harrisburg Bureau of Police; the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office; the Swatara Township Police Department; the West Shore Regional Police Department; and the Dauphin County Work Release, all of whom participated in this investigation.
