HARRISBURG, Pa. — In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby communities are assessing the damage and preparing clean-up plans.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Friday, Aug. 8 that Route 147 is closed between Route 22/322 and Route 225 in Reed Township, Dauphin County due to flood damage.
Repairs are expected to begin Saturday, Aug. 10 and could take about a month to complete, according to PennDOT. The road will remain closed until the repairs are completed; however, delivery trucks (such a box trucks) are allowed to use the road.
A detour is in place using Route 225 (Peters Mountain Road).
A utility project and associated daytime closure on Route 225 have been suspended while the road is used as a detour.
