HALIFAX, Pa. — State Police are searching for a suspect accused of stealing $11,000 in cash and more than a dozen guns from a home in northern Dauphin County last month.
David Boyer, 37, was living at the victim's home at the time of the alleged theft, which was reported by the victim on December 22, according to police.
In addition to the money, Boyer allegedly stole between 15 and 20 shotguns and rifles from a safe in the home. On the day of the alleged theft, Boyer told the victim he was not returning to the residence and has not been seen since, the victim reported.
Three of the stolen firearms were identified as a Remington model 760 30-06 pump action rifle equipped with a 6X Bushnell scope, a Winchester model 94, 30-30 lever action rifle, and a Marlin Firearms Company model 24G, 12-gauge pump action shotgun, according to police.
Boyer is prohibited from possessing firearms and an arrest warrant has been entered, police said. He is known to frequent the areas of Duncannon, Perry County, and the city of Lebanon, and may be operating a gray 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee displaying Pennsylvania registration MHG8506.
