HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Dauphin County Coroner's Office has released the identity of a Harrisburg teen killed in a shooting Friday night.
Torray Eden, 16, died at 11:11 p.m. in Hershey Medical Center, authorities said Monday. He was transported there after being shot on the 1800 block of Market Street at about 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 9.
An autopsy determined Eden died of a gunshot wound to the chest. His manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Police are continuing to investigate Eden's death. Anyone with information is asked to contact Harrisburg Police at (717) 558-6900.
Community members and classmates have organized a Meal Train to support Eden's family.
According to a Facebook post by the Harrisburg High School Football Booster Club, organizers are asking for plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, drinks, water, snacks and gift card donations for the family during this "extremely difficult time."
Donations can be dropped off at Harrisburg High School's John Harris Campus Fieldhouse Film Room (Door 12) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
