"We apologize for the disappointment or inconvenience this announcement may cause for community members," officials wrote in a Facebook post.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Editor's note: The above video originally aired on Dec. 03.

A scheduled town hall regarding the badly burned Broad Street Market has been canceled.

The following statement was posted to Facebook regarding the town hall:

"With the publishing of the new City webpage on rebuilding the Broad Street Market for weekly and monthly updates, the Town Hall scheduled for January 10th is being cancelled.

Please reference the website [here] for questions and updates on the status of the rebuild. Thank you for your continued support of the Market and we are looking forward to seeing you at our Market events.

We apologize for the disappointment or inconvenience this announcement may cause for community members.

Earlier in December, city officials announced the temporary tent built to house displaced vendors would be empty for the foreseeable future due to a lack of construction bids.

Work on the industrial-sized tent began in the fall to house Broad Street Market vendors displaced by the fire in July.
